Whitewash any above-ground slurry pits.

Respect any separation between clean/dirty zones in airlocks.

Limit any contamination with wild birds by adapt biosecurity measures.

Park any vehicles on the edge of the farm – We know you won’t like the walk but it’s for the best!

Spray all the wheels, mudguards and underside of trucks with a disinfectant effective against influenza at low temperatures, whenever leaving the farm.

Make sure that truck drivers going to farms wear single-use disposable clothing and that they changed at each farm, then left at the site (overalls, over boots).

Limit all site visits, even technicians.

Protect fodder and drinking water to prevent contamination.

Avoid manuring with liquid manure if possible.
